Driving practice in international circuit everyday (test driving)

Now, all of the existing schools of motor sport are only providing mainly class room lectures or lessons in
limited space, and it is not a very conducive environment for a student to learn a driving skill for achieving their goal as a
professional driver. Therefore, only a few students realize their dream after graduating
the school. In spite of this, the students pay a lot of tuition and study for several years, what they could get from this kind of program is minimal. Additionally, I sometimes see the parents of those students spending extra money on having their kids to take private lesson to receive a scholarship or doing extra racing activities outside school to compensate the lack of practical training.


At NRA, we have a lot of practical training for driving and engineering in our curriculum toward all kinds of four-wheeled races. In driving exercises, the students use the international circuit, Twin Ring Motegi where many big races are held. Students can practice their driving in different courses based on the curriculum daily. Because NRA is located nearby Twin Ring, we have a sizeable advantage.


Driving in different kinds of weather will help drivers to experience the change of road surface and setting of the car, and it will improve their skill as driver and those experiences will also help them in their race. Thus, without doing extra racing activities outside school, NRA student can obtain a more complete experience for what they need to become a top-level professional driver.


Also, in order to understand motor sport from a different perspective, when there is a car race in Twin Ring Motegi, we will have students participate as officials to support the race and learn about the event or driver’s behavior from a neutral point of view, and from this experience, students will compile a useful understanding about all of the people involved in motor sport and an appreciation for each respective position.


For their driving exercise, students will use European WSK constructors champion, ENERGY KART and an exclusive Italian formula car and follow the curriculum for their car race debut.

Also, we have good programs for both physical and mental training using Reebok training which are necessary as a professional athlete by personal trainer. Since wrong training would sometimes negatively affect growing youth body, we will prepare the menu for each person. Our nutritionist will advise students on their meal as well.


We also invite some guest speakers from companies or visit them periodically to learn about self management to know proper business manner and build a friendly relationship with the sponsors.
Of course, we consider about attitude to the media. We will invite special lecturers from television, radio station, or magazine to have students improve their mind toward their success in the future.
For those driver who want to establish international career, English is strongly require for their future. Sometimes, we will have classroom lesson or practical training of English with foreign racing driver or text.

Students acquire the troubleshooting, setting, development capability.

To be a top-level driver, it is required to have the knowledge about engineering and mechanics.
And it would require students to memorize a lot of theories and participate in a practical hands on setting. In NRA, we have the curriculum by the principal Noda to have students to experience it based on his career for 29 years, and the texts made under the supervision of professional engineers.


For the instructor, we have a mechanic engineer who works professionally in Japan and overseas, and he will help the students not only for practical training, but also classroom lessons.　As the practical training, students actually conduct assembly or setting the machine from an overhauled condition, and they go to the circuit of a top category race such as SUPER GT or Formula Nippon to learn the professional skills.

Importance of general education

Apply a particular education method for each student
●High School
Receiving high school degree is very meaningful for students; to grow as human beings, that’s why they study general education with teachers everyday.
Unfortunately, not all the students can become a professional driver. Also, even though they may have brilliant successful career as professional driver, they will have to retire at the end of their run. Then general education is very important to give them more choices when the time presents its self.

Apply the “free school method” to get the graduation.

Basically has the same contents of high school course, but the time of high school study will be used for training machine maintenance, engineering and others.

Small class, Boarding school system

An individualized practical training plan

In order to maximize the performance for each student at high level, NRA has a small class of about 20 students in each year. Students train based on the menu made by their personal trainer according to their physical strengths. They also study driving simulation with the instructor by using a data logger and sharing the data of their driving with other students just like top-category professional car racing team. Our nutritionist will give advise to the students about their meal such as dietary balance.
Also using the dormitory of the school, the student will has more concentrate and secure environment to develop their skills.
Communicating and studying with other students who have the same goal under the same instructors for three years, you will improve your skill and mind by learning from others. And that is one of the closest ways to reach your goal.
